Nestling in the magnificent vaulted cellars of the Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa, the Nuxe Spa is the ideal place for total disconnection. "It is a very warm setting thanks to the colours and materials chosen, a mix of wood and stone, warm shades of terra cotta," says Spa Manager Valérie Coelho. "As soon as you step inside, you feel a spirit of cocooning, an invitation to zenitude. The atmosphere is enveloping, the light subdued, the music soft."
This intimate, warm cocoon hosts three treatment cabins, one that can become a double. A possibility specially appreciated by couples who can also benefit beforehand from the hammam, and even privatize the Spa's jacuzzi, a cosy space between stone vaults and a wooden floor. "Couples love to come celebrate a wedding anniversary, for example, with cocktails or glasses of champagne."
The massages and treatments proposed belong to the prestigious French brand, Nuxe. The sublimating, holistic facial for youthfulness is acclaimed by clients, and Valérie Coelho is also keen to work on harmony for the body. "This expert facial care invites you to let go while combining breathing inspired by sophrology with the soothing vibrations of a crystal singing bowl," she explains. A sensory voyage enhanced by 32 Montorgueuil products, a range of Nuxe treatments only available in a Spa.
The summum of cocooning, the Body Treatment with Honey softens dry skin with an exclusive, aromatic scrub and enveloping massages for nourishment. Valérie Coelho also suggests the Cashmere massage, a Nuxe speciality in which the meridians are worked upon with small heated pads to boost energy. Among all the other classic massages, sports enthusiasts will opt for Deep Tissue, an in-depth massage with stretching.
Finally, the Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa has its own signature treatment, unique, and its very own: the Signature Cèdre. "This is a 1-hour massage created exclusively for us and our clientele," explains Valérie Coelho. "A massage for the face and body scented with cedar and roses, from the scalp to the tip of the toes, inducing total relaxation. We also use small, warm crystal balls to unravel tension."
Finally, something new: in addition to its famous "Huile Prodigieuse", Nuxe has created new massage oils with flowery fragrances and neroli blossom. "The client can thus choose from three fragrances to personalize her massage." A pause at the "tisanerie" rounds off this timeless experience.
