Niche experiences

Some ideas for activities to discover the region differently.
Become a grape-picker!

Le Domaine Besancenot has come up with the excellent idea of inviting wine-lovers to become grape-pickers for half a day. An experience that begins with role distribution on the plot of land (carriers and cutters) and provision of equipment (buckets, shears, gloves), followed in La Cuverie by observation of work at the sorting table and listening to explanations about vinification (red and white wines). An entertaining and instructional experience, giving participants a close-up view of the vintner's work and production of the nectars of Burgundy.

Dining in a wine vat!

The oldest wine company in Burgundy (1720), La Maison Champy offers a truly unique experience: lunch or dinner in "Cuve 17", a setting both extraordinary and iconic of the wine production process. On the programme, a tour of the 15th-century cellars and a "dishes paired with wines" menu for four participants. Unique and immersive!

Testing oenogastronomy with Adeline

She grew up surrounded by legendary wines and the refined cuisine of Burgundy. Now a Chef, Adeline shares her passion for pairing dishes and wines through "Terroirs by Adeline". Thanks to the creation of unique and exclusive "oenogas-tronomic" experiences in her tailormade kitchen in Beaune, she will teach you how to cook Burgundy's gastronomic specialities and pair them with the most appropriate Burgundy wines. For repeat performances, once back home!

Test the wine-bike!

A derivative of the "Beer Bike" from Scandinavian countries, the Olivier Leflaive Wine Bike offers a new way of visiting and riding around the vineyards while tasting wines. Awarding priority to safety with belts, comfort with padded seats, integrated  storage for wine-tasting, and glass-holders on the bar, the Wine Bike is an original form of electrically-assisted transport. Accompanied by a sommelier-host or Olivier Leflaive, the Puligny Tour includes tasting of three wines with pauses on the land and a tour of the village. This mobile bar is well worth a try!
